The Back Row | @BackRowOnline
As everyone is no doubt aware, yesterday was "Back to the Future Day" - the date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown time travel to in "Back to the Future II". You may also be aware that, aside from a few exceptions and a lot of forced gimmicks (like all the fake hoverboards we've seen this year), most of what they imagined the future to be like has not come to pass.
Some of that is great, because we came up with stuff so much better (such as the internet instead of some weird fax machine system that prints the same fax in every room and closet of the house), but some of it is disappointing, because it would be really cool if it existed (really? STILL no flying cars?!).
Well, being the special day that it was, we decided to start a little Hashtag Party where we, as Christians, would tweet as if the version of the future seen in "Back to the Future II" had actually come to pass and we were living in it right now. How would it change our churches? Our language? Our prayers?
Laugh along with us as we find out:
Here is what we came up with at The Back Row:
And here's some of what a few of our friends and followers came up with:
Thank you to everyone who played along with us, especially since this one was a bit challenging! Follow us on Twitter to play along during our next Hashtag Party!
A collection of faith-based funnies for those who need a chuckle or two.
